Hi! My name is Josie Atkinson and I’m the owner of Hope Haven Clothing. Hope Haven began after I survived domestic violence in a previous marriage. During that time, I found support through an abuse center that helped me to get the counseling that I needed during the divorce and after. That support changed my life and reminded me that healing is possible and that no one should have to walk their journey alone. After receiving the help I needed, I felt a strong desire to give back and support other women who experience domestic violence.

When I searched for domestic violence awareness clothing, I noticed there were very few options and most felt dark, heavy, and focused on pain or categorizing all men as evil or bad. After coming from so much darkness myself, I knew that was not what survivors needed most.

I believe survivors need light.

Hope Haven Clothing was created to bring hope, healing, and empowerment through meaningful and uplifting apparel while also spreading awareness and supporting shelters that provide safety and restoration. Each piece is meant to walk alongside survivors on their healing journey and remind them of their strength, worth, and resilience.

“Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come”
Proverbs 31:25

Today, I am happily remarried to my husband, Adam Atkinson, who reminds me daily how deeply I am loved and cared for. I thank God for him and for the healing He has brought into my life. I am excited to see how Hope Haven continues to grow, spread awareness, and help those who need it most.
